I’m Busy. How are you?

July 9, 2010

I haven’t been very good about keeping this blog active for the past month or so.  It’s pretty much a case of being too busy living life to have a chance to write about it.  Busy at work, busy at home equals no time or inclination to blog.

The photo above is of the moonrise over Simi Valley this morning at 5:16 as I waited for the early train to Los Angeles.  The view was nice, so I decided to share it with you.

It’s been a very busy week at work–a combination of trying to catch up after a week’s vacation and some big projects that need to be completed before I leave on vacation in a week and a half.   It’s the same story at home:  catching up and also getting ready.

Last week was a vacation from work, but far from a leisurely vacation.  I was at scout camp, responsible for a leadership training course.  28 participants and a staff of 11 young men and 4 adults.  We had a great time, but I needed to put in some very long days.  The coming vacation will be an adventure:  we are going to Costa Rica.  Besides the adventure, I’m looking forward to a chance to relax and spend time with Wendy.  We will be belatedly celebrating our 35th anniversary and she will be celebrating her 29th birthday again while we are in Costa Rica.
