Today is the anniversary of the D-Day invasion on the beaches of Normandie. Almost 200,000 personnel were involved in the assault. More than 10,500 Allied soldiers died on June 6, 1944.
Why? Because war was the answer that day. Sometimes war must be the answer. War is sometimes the only answer when the question involves how to stop terrible evil.
Evil men don’t stop their evil acts just because they are asked to. Power and force sometimes are the only methods to create and to preserve peace in the world. To think otherwise is naive.
Please remember today the thousands of men who died 65 years ago today to bring peace to the world. Fortunately for us, they understood that sometimes war is the answer.
